Studio Setup and Spatial Awareness
Last week we published a blog post on studio etiquette, and this week, we continue our series giving you the inside scoop on how DDF dance classes work!
Today we're posting a visual guide of our row + window setup in Studio D, so every dancer can enjoy their class experience. Many of you have performed in our shows and know how important it is to hit your spot in formations — the same goes for class! Coming back to a well-spaced home base after each routine, keeping straight lines, and standing in your window gives everyone room to dance full-out and a clear sightline to the instructor.
Shoutout to our longtime dancers for making this look effortless — and if you're newer or unfamiliar with where to stand in a studio setting, take a peek at this graphic before class. Note that there is plenty of space for our 24 dancer capacity when there are four rows of six dancers. When in doubt, or if arriving after class has started, the back row or an open window on the side is always a safe bet - or feel free to ask an instructor where the open spots are. Thanks for keeping our dance floor safe and fun for everyone!
