Survey says "yes" to both livestream, social dis-dancing dance classes during COVID-19
Dallas Dance Fitness launched livestream and on-demand dance fitness classes in March 2020 when businesses closed to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Texas. When Dallas businesses began to reopen, we added occasional social distanced in-studio classes: first, instructors only. After a few weeks with no incidents, we opened up a limited number of in-studio spots to members.
We've surveyed our members twice since the COVID-19 pandemic began, and in our new survey, we see that our members are evenly interested in exclusively online and in-person options for studio cardio dance classes. And several dancers requested outdoor dance classes!
Five months after the pandemic began, our members tell us they value the flexibility to choose the option that works best for them. Here is a graph showing how DDF dancers answered the question "where do you plan to take your DDF classes this Fall?"
Based on this pretty even split between Online & In Studio options and the other survey results we will:
• Continue with our full Livestream schedule including PiYo and Barre
• Update DDF On Demand more frequently
• Explore options for Outdoor classes when it gets cooler
• Continue with In-Studio Classes M-F at Preston Center Dance
We also encourage our members to schedule their classes for the upcoming week in advance – we call it the Sunday Setup! They get their workout schedule locked in and we can tailor our playlists based on who is signed up for class.
Members reserve classes through the schedule page of dallasdancefitness.com or through the Zen Planner member app (download it free on the apple and android app store).
New dancers can sign up for a free first class here.
Dancers also check in for all classes on the Zen Planner app to receive attendance credit toward milestone award DDF SWAG!
